I realise we’re already half way through April but my March beauty favourites are too epic not to write about. Thanks to my recent haircut, this round up is much more hair-centric than normal with an added twist of good skincare.
First up, let’s talk about the GHD Creative Curl Wand. The whole messy wavy bedhead style is a look I love on other people but until I got my hands on this, I found impossible to recreate. The GHD Creative Curl Wand is the best hair tool bar none. I get 3 days of style from one curling session, which is 2 more than any other curling wand I’ve tried. The tri-zone technology means the wand holds equal temperature so your hair curls super quickly and the wand heats up in no time at all. If you’re looking for a new curling tool, get yourself one of these.
When I ordered the GHD Creative Curl Wand, I also treated myself to the Moroccan Oil Dry Texture Spray and I’m so glad I did. Designed to create volume for tousled, beach wave hair styles, this texture spray is lightweight, conditioning and totally does what it’s supposed to. There’s a noticeable difference in how shiny my waves look when I’ve sprayed this, and it’s hard to ignore how lovely this smells! I curl my hair, spritz a bit of hairspray and then mess up my curls before spraying this all over. It’s a must-have texture spray for me now.
Moving onto skincare, I’ve loved the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm* for years but last month, not a day went by where I didn’t use it – I’ve completely fallen back in love with this. I’m a die-hard cleansing balm fan but Emma Hardie’s is one that just ticks all the boxes. It’s a joy to use, feels luxurious on the skin, smells delightful and actually melts your makeup off in seconds. There’s no first cleanse quite like the Moringa Cleansing Balm.
Second up on the skincare front is my Darphin Lumiere Essentielle Instant Purifying and Illuminating Mask*. This is a relatively new addition to my collection but I’ve been hooked since my first use. The one side of the mask is for purifying and the other is where the illumination comes in. Not only does this feel super indulgent to use but my skin has been loving it – my complexion looks brighter, feels smoother and without a doubt looks more plumped as a result of a pamper with this.
Now for the only makeup item in my March beauty favourites, and it’s a good’un: The Urban Decay Naked Heat Petite palette* is worth all of the hype and more. I actually don’t own the full-sized Naked Heat palette but I’m a big fan of the Urban Decay petite palettes anyway, as I tend to reach for smaller palettes more frequently. The warmer shades in the Naked Heat Petite are incredibly versatile and bar the lightest champagne shade, they’re all matte shadows. As with all of the Urban Decay palettes, these blend like a dream and you can count on them to wear well throughout the day. The orangey tones are so on trend right now that this is a staple, travel-friendly palette for any collection.
So there you have my slightly overdue March beauty favourites. They’re definitely worth the wait in my opinion. Let me know what you’ve been loving in the comments.
Sincerely, Sarah xx
