e.l.f’s UK Arrival & My Existing Collection

Elf Collection Sincerely Sarah @SincSarahSnaps

e.l.f Cosmetics seem to be everywhere I look at the moment and it’s bloody exciting! I’ve gone from having none of their collection to a rather healthy stash of products in about a month.

e.l.f pride themselves on offering luxury products at accessible prices. They’ve been around since 2004 in the States and are now a real household name and are stocked by the likes of Walgreens and Target. The products range from makeup to skincare and professional tools, and are all cruelty free. Sounds good, doesn’t it? It’s about to get better… Superdrug have announced that as of May 3rd, us Brits will be able to buy e.l.f from their website!!!!

To whet your appetite for May 3rd, this is what my current e.l.f cosmetics collection looks like:

e.l.f Studio Matte Shadow, Brow & Liner palette
This is definitely a star product for me, so if you’re unsure where to start in there range then look no further. I’m a firm believer in the power of good brows and this palette offers so much choice, it’s impossible not to get on with. The formula of the powder is great, it’s not chalky at all, just highly pigmented and totally matte – nobody wants shimmery brows! The palette gives you great eyeshadow options too and the darker shades are lovely liners when applied with a hard angle or smudge brush… triple threat product alert!

e.l.f Studio Bronzer in Golden Bronze
As a pale girl, I adore a multi-toned bronzer because it doesn’t commit me to a super tanned look straight from the off. The bronzing powder itself is creamy and not too shimmery but it does give your face dimension and a good glow. Unless you’re a highlighting addict, I’d go as far as saying you could skip your highlighter if you’re using this – 2 in 1!

e.l.f Studio Corrective Concealer in ‘Erase & Conceal’
Colour correcting can be a bit of a mind field and sometimes it’s hard to know where to start, which is exactly why I think this is must-have palette! You get four correctors in one compact so you can actually play about and find what works for you on different parts of your face. Cheaper creamy products for the eye area can be hit and miss but these are lightweight and sit comfortably on the skin and under cream, liquid and powder makeup.

e.l.f Essential Lip Stain in ‘Berry’ and ‘Cherry’
I picked these up at Walmart for $2 each: bargain! I get on extremely well with the pen-like applicator, really like the fuss-free packaging and the staying power is rather impressive too. If you’re after a low maintenance lip product, try these – you don’t have to commit to regular top-ups and the shades are really vibrant and gorgeous.

e.l.f Studio Clay Eyeshadow Palette in ‘Smoked To Perfection’
I do love me a smokey eye and these purple toned metallic shadows are so pretty. I applaud e.l.f for including a double helping of the lightest shade; it’s always the first to go! Having a ‘makeup by numbers’ look in a palette is handy when you’re in a rush or feel a little less creative. The shadows are good, not great, but for a night out or a dinner the quality does what it needs to. I would recommend using an eyeshadow primer as they can crease a little.

It’s safe to say my obsession with e.l.f will grow to monumental levels from next month but I refuse to feel guilty because the ratio of quality to price is so fantastic! I’d love to know your thoughts on this exciting beauty news. Are you an existing e.l.f fan or are you eagerly awaiting their UK arrival too?

Sincerely, Sarah xx
