Cruella De Vil | Halloween Makeup Tutorial

This year I decided take my halloween makeup game a step further by transforming into Cruella De Vil. I searched high and low for inspiration and kept coming up with the green eye makeup look from the cartoon version of 101 Dalmatians, but this just didn’t seem dramatic enough. Instead, I decided to channel my inner villain and emulate Glenn Close from the 1996 classic movie – think of smokey red, and very OTT, eyes!

I didn’t plan the look so instead turned on the camera and got creative, and I was super pleased with the end result:

To replicate this creepy yet glam makeup look, these are the bits you’ll need:

  • Full coverage foundation
  • Eyebrow gel or coloured wax
  • Skin coloured matt eyeshadow
  • 3 varying shades of red and brown eyeshadows (I used the Morphe 350M palette)
  • 1 metallic red eyeshadow (I used the Alice in Wonderland palette from Urban Decay)
  • Black liquid eyeliner
  • False lashes
  • Contour powder/matt bronzer
  • Dusty pink blush
  • Red lipliner
  • Red lipstick (ideally, not matte)
  • Powder highlighter

Now you’re all set to either spray paint your hair, pop on a wig and add some dalmatian print. I really hope you’ve enjoyed the tutorial; if you recreate this look please do tag me in your pictures – I’d love to see your take on the makeup look.
